About The Commotion

The Commotion was founded on the belief that credibility as a writer is not determined by number of pieces published, but by competence and craft. 

This is a no-resume-necessary publication. In fact, the most important requirement for submissions is that you have not been nationally published. We don't care if you're a bestseller; we care that you write well.  

The Commotion is a collection of voices you have not heard elsewhere. It is a new writer; it is a future novel unbound. Here, writing is still an art. The Commotion is a place where we publish writers in their purest form, before they become jaded by the politics of the industry.
